Telephone Scam


We have been informed of a new telephone scam from a company calling themselves 'My Healthcare'. As ever they are requesting bank details and sound quite feasible however this is NOT a real company and any healthcare professionals will NEVER ask for your financial information. Pease be alert to these calls and stay safe.


Covid-19 vaccinations



Please AVOID CALLING the surgery with any enquiries about the covid-19 vaccination as we are unable to give you any more information at this stage, and we need to try and keep phone lines open for people who are unwell and needing medical care.

Prescription requests



TheScottish Government and NHS Lothian have advised GP's and Practice Pharmacists not to pre-prescribe medication and advise patients not to stockpile medications which would place undue stress on the supply chain. The Scottish Government have given assurances that this is not necessary and that sufficient contingency stock exists within the supply chain.

Test Results

We DO NOT contact patients with test results except in urgent circumstances.

Please contact the surgery 1 week after your test to find out your result.

tests_and_resultsYou can call between 10am and 3pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the Practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.

Samples being handed in to the surgery need to be handed in at Reception before 12 Noon or they may not be processed and you will have to repeat the test. Urine samples MUST have a completed questionnaire with them or our nurses cannot process them.
