Covid-19 vaccinations



Please AVOID CALLING the surgery with any enquiries about the covid-19 vaccination as we are unable to give you any more information at this stage, and we need to try and keep phone lines open for people who are unwell and needing medical care.

Prescription requests



TheScottish Government and NHS Lothian have advised GP's and Practice Pharmacists not to pre-prescribe medication and advise patients not to stockpile medications which would place undue stress on the supply chain. The Scottish Government have given assurances that this is not necessary and that sufficient contingency stock exists within the supply chain.

Admin staff are here to help you between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.  Their job is to liaise between you and the doctor.  It is an extremely demanding job so please be patient.

The Nurses provide blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and respiratory checks as well as routine blood tests for monitoring medication. They carry out cervical smears, ear syringing and can provide family planning advice and contraceptive pill checks. They provide advice and support for weight loss and smoking cessation and also perform routine nursing tasks such as wound dressings and leg ulcer management.

In addition the Practice Nurses can provide travel  vaccinations.

The Practice Nurses see patients by appointment only.  Appointments can be booked through the receptionist.

 

Healthcare Assistants

Ms Michelle Smith

Appointments are available with the Health Care Assistant for blood tests, Blood pressure monitoring, and other services which the doctors request.
