Covid-19 vaccinations

Please AVOID CALLING the surgery with any enquiries about the covid-19 vaccination as we are unable to give you any more information at this stage, and we need to try and keep phone lines open for people who are unwell and needing medical care.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and cooperation.

Prescription requests

TheScottish Government and NHS Lothian have advised GP's and Practice Pharmacists not to pre-prescribe medication and advise patients not to stockpile medications which would place undue stress on the supply chain. The Scottish Government have given assurances that this is not necessary and that sufficient contingency stock exists within the supply chain.

Gullane Medical Practice

Did you know that the practice has a new facebook page?

Please go to GullaneMedicalPractice facebook page for all up to date information regarding the practice.

Gullane Medical Practice do not offer travel advice - this must be gained from a Travel Clinic.

We can give you a list of all this immunisations you've had to date and you would take this to the travel clinic of your choice.

The travel clinic will discuss your destination, when you intend to travel and which vaccines you've already had then give you a list of which vaccines you need to get and which of those are available on the NHS.

Once you know which NHS vaccines you need you can contact us to make an appointment to have these done. We will issue a prescription and send it to your preferred pharmacy where you should collect it then bring it to your appointment. This is your responsibility as the surgery do not hold any extra vaccines to give in the event you don't bring your own. This will take a minimum of a week so please allow plenty of time when booking your appointment.

We hope you have a lovely holiday :-)
