Telephone Scam


We have been informed of a new telephone scam from a company calling themselves 'My Healthcare'. As ever they are requesting bank details and sound quite feasible however this is NOT a real company and any healthcare professionals will NEVER ask for your financial information. Pease be alert to these calls and stay safe.


Covid-19 vaccinations



Please AVOID CALLING the surgery with any enquiries about the covid-19 vaccination as we are unable to give you any more information at this stage, and we need to try and keep phone lines open for people who are unwell and needing medical care.

Prescription requests



TheScottish Government and NHS Lothian have advised GP's and Practice Pharmacists not to pre-prescribe medication and advise patients not to stockpile medications which would place undue stress on the supply chain. The Scottish Government have given assurances that this is not necessary and that sufficient contingency stock exists within the supply chain.

Appointment Information
When We Are Closed

Surgery Appointments

  •  Pre-book appointments in advance. These are aimed at routine or follow up issues

  •  On the day appointments are released at 8am for emergency / on the day issues

When making your appointment you will be asked if you would prefer a telephone consultation or a face-to-face consultation.

If you request a telephone consultation you will be advised if this will be in the morning or afternoon but we will be unable to give you an exact time. 

Face-to-face consultations will be given an exact time to attend the Practice.

When you call the surgery our Admin Team will ask the reason for your call. This is so we can assess how best to deal with your enquiry, who is best to deal with your issue and what time frame is appropriate.

If your call is something which is urgent that day, then our Duty Doctor will phone you back.
This may not be the Doctor you usually attend.

If you want a specific Doctor or it is a routine matter you are likely to wait some time, most likely a week.
This is normal procedure.

Please be patient and courteous with our Admin Team.
They will always do their best to help you whilst following the wishes of our Clinical Team.
